Project Stages

Before commencing our engagement, we will arrange an initial meeting to discuss the project scope, requirements and the client’s vision.


From this conversation, we will form a project brief and a detailed Fee Proposal that breaks down the three key stages of the design process which include:

To commence the design concept stage, we combine a collection of inspirational images to develop the look and feel of a project.

Layouts are tested to ensure optimal functionality, including furniture placement and flow. We may develop preliminary 3D models to communicate the design and detail when custom furniture or cabinetry is required.

Make preliminary fittings and finishes selections and bring together ‘room boards’ that assist in conveying the look and feel of the concept.

Select and source pieces from local and international suppliers, some dealing exclusively with designers, which include:

  • fabrics and wallpapers to develop room schemes. This allows you to touch and feel the materials.

  • Where possible, showroom visits can be arranged to view specified furniture pieces.

  • Custom furniture sourced interstate or overseas may be presented in image form only.


Decoration Development

Following client feedback from the Decoration Concept we presented, Decoration Development involves integrating finer details, and we will prepare and send a proposal for the selections made. These will then be sent to you for approval.

We will coordinate manufacturing teams to carry out a measure and quote when window coverings are required.


When wallpaper is a component of the room scheme, we can coordinate with our speciality installer to conduct a measure and quote.


At this time, we will also refine custom furniture and cabinetry design and drawings for quoting and manufacture.


Once you have approved the items proposed, we will issue a deposit invoice. The deposit amount required is generally 60% unless the items are in stock, which then requires payments in full to secure. Orders will be placed and managed by us, and fabric deliveries will be coordinated with manufacturers on custom pieces.


We will also manage lead times and deliveries and, if required, arrange storage until goods are required. Coordinate the installation of items like wallpaper and window coverings.

Delivery & freight charges can vary depending on the goods' size and origin. Often, we do not receive accurate shipping costs until orders are confirmed with the supplier. For this reason, we issue a separate shipping invoice after orders are placed and costs have been determined. Depending on the size of the project freight charges can often be between $2000 - $5000.

Once the items are ready, we will coordinate delivery of the pieces to your home. This may mean that deliveries will be staggered over the course of a few weeks. We will be on-site to oversee the delivery and placement of furniture and ensure all accessories are positioned as intended. At this time, if required, we can also coordinate the placement and hanging of artwork and mirrors.
