Residential Interior Design

A much-loved weekender in Alexandra Headland was refreshed and revitalized to breathe new life into the unit for our clients and their family to enjoy for years to come.

Our client loves colour. The brighter and warmer, the better. Rather than the coastal default ocean blue tones, we looked to the sand for inspiration. The palette of an Australian beach in the peak of summer, lined with people, towels and umbrellas – offering equally vibrant and relaxed vibes, unique to the beach holiday experience.  Colour and texture continue throughout the bedrooms and bathrooms, evoking a sense of warmth and fun, setting the scene for memorable family holidays.

Improving the functionality, flow and feel of the space were an integral part of the brief. Angled walls were replaced with gentle curves to soften the journey through the space, guiding you to the captivating ocean view. A modified kitchen layout was created to maximize functional storage and allow for a visual connection to the ocean. Additional storage was introduced, concealed behind oak shiplap and VJ lined doors, giving the illusion of continuous, uninterrupted walls, making the space feel more generous. An effort to maintain visual connection to the sweeping view was carried throughout the unit, allowing our clients to enjoy the outlook throughout the seasons.
