Residential Interior Design
Shortlisted for the Australian Interior Design Awards 2023 – Residential Decoration
CG Design Studio was engaged for the Interior Design of the boutique apartment development, Mila 8 Carlton.

Situated in inner-city Brisbane, these luxury residences delicately walk-the-line between fresh aesthetics and timeless sophistication.
​
Upon a base of crisp white in-built elements and light oak flooring, layers of richness are seen through the use of blackened timber grain details and stormy glazed materials. A synergy of warmth and coolness, resulting in a calm and inviting urban retreat.

When engaged by newly acquired residents of Mila 8 Carlton to furnish their home, we made considered selections to enhance each space. Introducing pieces that complemented architectural elements, while enriching spaces further with warming materials and textures.

The curation of spaces a celebration of form, functionality, and textural diversity. Key pieces giving spaces a unique voice, such as the bold Greg Natale rug and rich burgundy desk we had custom crafted for the project.
The result, a balance of mature sophistication and youthfulness carefully harmonised, akin to the atmosphere of a modern boutique hotel.
