CG Design Studio was established by Christopher Gyzemyter, who is passionate about architecture and interiors. Together with his team, CG Design Studio has become one of Brisbane’s most respected interior design firms.
So what makes CG Design Studio unique? With qualifications in both interior and building design, we offer solutions that are more than just interior design. Our team is well versed in renovations, extensions, constructions and fit-outs, and uses this expertise to improve the potential of any space before executing our flair for interior decoration.
Collaboration is crucial in the design and construction industry. This is why we work closely with our team of trusted project managers, construction crews and other built environment specialists to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget and to the highest standards. When it comes to making sure the outside of your home matches the inside, luckily there are easy ways to do this yourself, for example, using storage sheds to de-clutter, especially as you can now get sheds with real style and functionality.
When it comes to commercial projects, we understand the importance of branding. This is why we collaborate with creative agencies outside of the build industry to ensure optimum marketing and branding for your commercial enterprise.

Building & Interior Design
The quaint entry journey and carport addition to the front-façade, although new, retains the integrity of the original architecture, flanked by the striking form of the extension beyond.
Elevated within the leafy surrounds, this multi-level, expansive home has the perception of being grounded by 250-year-old Gumtrees, in which it interacts. The street presence is multidimensional, beginning with the warm brickwork and arched openings of the bungalow façade, before graduating to the rigid and striking forms of the new architecture beyond.
Tangible woodgrain texture features heavily in the detail of the bespoke cabinetry, emulating the characteristics of traditional smoked timber. The client was drawn to a layered warmth and texture of the French Farmhouse aesthetic. A striking, moody palette was adopted to marry these undertones with a contemporary edge. The weathered woodgrain and linear VJ grooves of the kitchen cabinetry are in-tune with the French Farmhouse narrative subtly referenced throughout the project. Despite the dark monochromatic palette of the kitchen, texture and dimension is evoked through the way in which light bounces off the handmade glazed zellige tiles and the warm bronze patina of the exhaust. The hand-glazed green tiles that envelope the powder room are an ode to the lush, leafy surrounding landscape. The dramatic presence of the charcoal black finishes is juxtaposed by the subtle, warm overlay of soft furnishings.
A hazy amalgamation of shades, ranging from violet, ink, green and taupe harmonious yet distinctive through the natural stone in the main ensuite. Monolithic formed basins, crafted from the natural stone of the vanity top, give interrupted perception of the beauty and intrigue of the dimensional quartzite. The charred tones of the ensuite are perceptively warm, with the overlay of live metals upon highly tactile Japanese tiles.
Thoughtful spatial planning included a contemporary adaptation of a French ‘boudoir’ that delineated the ensuite from the expanse of the main bedroom. A band of the vivid green glazed Moroccan tiles border the family room, anchoring the space. The coming-together of vastly different architectural styles, are metaphorically and literally black & white, yet harmonious, materiality linking old & new. Black steelwork, filetti stone and mid-tone timbers.
