Building & Interior Design
A playful approach was taken to create a lively and youthful transformation of the pre-war Queenslander. The bold use of colour on the island bench enhances the relaxed and playful atmosphere, inspired by the eye-catching freestanding cooker.
The handcrafted zellige tiles, laid in a checkerboard pattern, give the kitchen a striking presence, complemented by a detailed band of custom tiles that frames the bespoke exhaust feature.
The cabinetry details draw from classic design, adding character, nostalgia, and a strong sense of craftsmanship to the kitchen. To complement the overall youthful vibe of the renovation, the charming bathroom features a natural stone checkerboard floor. The arched shower entrance, bordered with rose marble, clearly defines the space.
The main bathroom exudes a calm and cool vibe. The blue tones in the tiling and cabinetry blend beautifully with the Carrara marble and crisp chrome fittings.
An authentic reinvention of timeless charm, the residence reflects the vibrant personalities of those who call Hillside Cottage home.
