Residential Interior Design

This was a tired 60s house with some equally tired 80s renovations. Despite the dowdy canvas, the client was enamoured with the home’s position and stunning views of the ocean and Tweed Coast. The decision was made to renovate the simple three-bedroom home, transforming it into a family home suitable for five. As a licensed building designer, CG Design Studio had the expertise to capitalise on the sloping block and add a new two-storey extension to the rear. The addition created an additional family sitting room on the lower level and a master bedroom suite and library on the top level, perfectly positioned to capture the views. The existing lower level was also extended to provide access to the view, allowing for a light-filled open-plan kitchen and living area with adjacent family study.
